1. Booking and Payment
Before completing the venue hire booking form, please contact our Centre via phone or email to confirm date availability and that our Centre venue is suitable for your needs.
Once date and details are checked, please complete our venue hire booking form and email it to us at email@example.com.
Upon acceptance of your completed booking form, we will issue you with a tax invoice. Full payment is due on receipt of the invoice. Your booking is not confirmed until full payment is received.
Once full payment is received, we will issue an email confirmation of your booking.
2. Cancellations and changes of date
We ask that you give us as much notice as possible should you need to change or cancel your booking. Requests to change or cancel a booking must be made in writing (email will suffice).
One change of date is allowable with no additional fees incurred provided a minimum of 2 business days’ notice is provided. Subsequent changes of date will incur a fee of $55 incl. GST per change of date made.
Cancellation of your booking with a minimum of 2 business days’ notice will incur an administration fee of $55 incl. GST and remaining funds paid will be refunded.
Cancellations made with less than 2 business days’ notice or ‘no shows’ will result in fees paid being forfeited – no refund will be given.
The Skills Recognition Centre shall not be held liable for any injury or loss relating to you (the Hirer), or any member of the Hirer or any person on the premises by invitation or with the authority or permission of the Hirer.
Cover for Public Liability and Property Damage to ensure full protection in case of injury to persons or damage to the Skills Recognition Centre or private property must be arranged by the Hirer.
Public Liability Insurance cover must be for no less than $10,000,000.
A copy of your public liability policy/statement must be provided to us on booking of our venue. In certain circumstances, this requirement may be waived by the Skills Recognition Centre.
The Hirer is liable for all actions, claims, proceedings, demands, losses, damages and expenses which the Skills Recognition Centre shall or may be or become or suffer in respect of:
- Damage to the Venue or other property arising out of or in the course of the event except to the extent it arises from the negligence or default of the Skills Recognition Centre.
- Injury to or death of any persons arising out of or in the course of the event except to the extent it arises from the negligence or default of the Skills Recognition Centre.
- Any breach of these terms and conditions by the Hirer. The Hirer agrees to pay for the cost of any repairs to the Venue and/or its facilities or additional cleaning which is rendered necessary because of the misuse or neglect of the Venue and/or its facilities.
You must ensure that the venue and its facilities and surrounds are left in a clean and tidy condition, including proper disposal of waste generated by you.
You are responsible for cleaning the venue at the end of your event. A vacuum cleaner and cleaning products will be available for use. If you fail to clean the event to a satisfactory standard, then an additional cleaning fee of a minimum $65 will be charged. If any stains to furniture or carpet etc is incurred due to spillages then further cleaning fees will be payable to remove such stains.
5. Alcohol and Smoking
Alcohol may not be brought into the Skills Recognition Centre or consumed on site. This venue is not a licensed venue. Events involving alcohol cannot be catered for.
The Centre is a smoke-free environment. Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes, is not permissible in the venue.
